*Through Oct. 31: Rio Rancho outdoor watering restrictions remain in place. To prevent water waste, spray irrigation (sprinkler or device that propels water through the air in the form of small particles or droplets) during the hours of 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. is prohibited for all properties within the City limits, or that are served by the City’s water utility. Watering by hand is allowed during these hours. Residents are encouraged to contact the City’s Water Waste Hotline at (505) 896-8299 if they observe water waste violations. Violators are subject to fines.

*The Rio Rancho Police Department, in conjunction with Safer New Mexico Now, is having its ninth annual Casey’s Clinic in memory of our fallen officer Germaine Casey. The event is in the Target store parking lot at New Mexico 528 and Crestview from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. A safety inspection of chid seats and child identification markers are among the activites planned.
